X10的兩個怪現象：WDS, Black Zone

Fuji X10自10月底購入之後, 有兩個怪現象發生

這台畢竟是外貌協會的機子, 看了愛不釋手, 兩個問題希望之後Fujifilm會釋出軔體改善

[ Black Zone 高光黑色區域]
這是酷哥自己取的名稱, 其實應該是高光區域的問題
話說, 11月拿著X10去苗栗外拍黑白攝影課時, 在稻田內遇到下面這組畫面...真是詭異

看到右上方的高光區, 天空部份竟然變成黑色, 感覺就像是加上高光過曝指示...連前景的小花花瓣也有點黑色區域
這個結果讓我馬上再試了四張
總共拍了五張, 有三張會有上面這樣的現象
拍攝的條件:f4.0 1/600s, iso200, HDR自動

正常的照片應該是下面這張

後來有網友說這個問題只會出現在某些特定條件
provia and velvia from iso 200-320 all f stops, using medium hard highlights and medium hard shadows and ONLY in JPEG
也就是說, 在軔體還沒更新改善之前, 還有一些機會避開這個高光反應的問題~

[ WDS ] White Disc Spot
這是在網路上看到的問題, 只要遇到高光源過曝會出現的現象
台灣的網友好像比較不在意這個問題, 國外到是吵得沸沸揚揚
後來我在這次去上海夜拍的照片也發現這樣的問題

這個WDS問題, 應該是blooming, 英國的Fuji官方回應網友的提問, 答案造成眾怒

Hot off the press, just got a reply from Fuji UK.
Dear XXX,
Thank you for contacting FUJIFILM UK and we apologise for the delay in replying to you.
Thank you for the example image of which we have inspected. Please note this is not a fault with the camera, this is a digital artifact known as blooming and this can occur with all digital cameras, regardless of make or model.
You can use a smaller f-stop number or ND (Neutral Density) filter to reduce the amount of light, increase the dynamic range to reduce blooming and I would also suggest using the histogram to expose the image, when capturing similar pictures.
we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
因為上面這則官方回答實在太值得收藏, 所以貼在這笑一下, 哈哈~　
後來Fuji官方還是回應會改善這個問題

'Fujifilm engineers have examined a number of sample shots and have concluded that the camera is working within prescribed tolerances. The blooming issue is something not uncommon to many types of digital camera. It is possible to reduce the effects of blooming either by increasing the ISO or widening the dynamic range on the camera.
However, after receiving a number of comments from users, we can understand their concern and plan a firmware upgrade to lessen the effects of blooming. We will announce in due course when the upgrade will be available.'

在軔體更新之前, 也只能依照他們所說的把iso提高一些減低曝光時間來改善這個blooming問題

然後來這張過外網友的夜拍照片真是是讓我笑翻了...那個WDS...blooming 問題真是很大條呢~

以上就是拿到X10之後遇到的兩個大問題, 還好Fuji官方已經都知道這兩個問題, 也有說要改善

發這一篇來幫自己的X10紀念一下, 買第一代的機子真的是白老鼠嗎?
回想買GRD 1代也沒這樣的困擾
買E-P1時很快就有E-P2...還說E-P2才是完整的E-P1...

看來真的是不要衝第一?
